Brand
A lens, a letter, a light.
The Yusalo mark is a camera iris of three blades. The gap between the blades is a Y, and at its heart floats the recording light: the moment the film starts rolling.
Keep clear space of half the mark's width on every side. Never smaller than 16 px. Never recolour, outline, rotate or add effects to the mark.
Colour
Ink, Bone and Ember.
Warm cinema neutrals with one accent. Ember is the recording light: use it for what matters and nowhere else.
Backgrounds. A warm black, never pure #000.
Text and primary buttons. Film-paper white.
Start of the Ember gradient; warm highlights.
The recording light. Actions, focus, the one accent.
End of the Ember gradient.
Secondary text, captions, slate labels.
Type
Clean sans, cinematic serif.
Geist · display & interface
Launch films from your website.
Headlines at 650 weight with tight tracking; interface text at 400–600.
Instrument Serif Italic · the accent
as a launch film.
One or two words per headline, in Ember. It is the director's voice: use it sparingly.
Geist Mono · the slate
REC 00:00:28:00
Labels, timecode and numbers, in capitals with open tracking.
Signatures
The details that make it Yusalo.
The viewfinder
Films are shown through four corner marks, with a REC light and a running timecode.
The slate label
Section labels open with a small Ember frame and are set in mono capitals.
Film grain
A faint moving grain over every page, so the interface feels shot rather than rendered.
Voice
Say it like a director.
Short sentences. Plain words. Claims we can show.
Direct
“Paste your website. We make the film.”
“Our AI-powered platform leverages cutting-edge technology to…”
Confident, never loud
“Your product deserves a launch film.”
“The BEST video tool EVER!!!”
Honest
“Realistic mode takes longer to render.”
“Instant photoreal films in seconds.”
